Manchester City ready to launch a revised £25m offer for Aston Villa's James Milner--goal.com

Manchester City are preparing a fresh £25million bid forAston Villa midfielder James Milner, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The west Midlands club have already turned their nose up at a £20m offer in May, as their valuation of the former Newcastle United player is believed to be closer to the £30m region.

However, despite the significant variantions in valuations of the England international, City believe a compromise can be reached over the fee.

With Milner having not yet signed an extension to his current contract, which has two years remaining, Villa may wish to cash in on the 23-year-old this summer.

Mega-rich City have had a £17m bid accepted by Lazio for Serbian left-back Aleksandar Kolarov, which will see their summer spending rise to £80m following the purchases of Germany full-back Jerome Boateng, Barcelona's Yaya Toure and Spanish winger David Silva.
