Pre-season 2010: Bournemouth 0-4 Tottenham Hotspur -goal.com
Roman Pavlyuchenko was the star as Tottenham Hotspurcruised to a comfortable 4-0 win in a very relaxed opening to their pre-season campaign at AFC Bournemouth.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp played a different team in each half as the players got their first chance to shake any rustiness out of their legs.
Carlo Cudicini made a welcome return to the Tottenham goal following his recovery from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Youngsters Calum Butcher, Steven Caulker, John Bostock, Dean Parrett, Ryan Mason and Jon Obika were included in the first half line-up and Obika managed to get himself on the scoresheet, opening Spurs' account in the 37th minute.
The youngster capitalised on an error from Bournemouth defender Shaun Cooper, who tried to nod the ball back to his keeper Shwan Jalal.
The ball sailed past Jalal though, allowing Obika to walk the ball into the home side's net.
Danny Holland provided Cudicini's only significant test, firing at the keeper from 20 yards.
Luka Modric, Jermaine Jenas and Danny Rose emerged for Spurs for the second half, whilst Ben Alnwick took over from Pavlyuchenko between the sticks.
Another defensive error allowed the visitors to double their advantage on the hour mark, Andros Townsend pouncing on a loss of possession to square for Pavlyuchenko to net his first.
A minute later, Pavlyuchenko turned provider as he set up Rose to find the corner of the net from the edge of the box.
Adel Taarabt and Rose hit the woodwork before the Russian produced the goal of the game on 73 minutes, controlling a deep pass from Younes Kaboul and lobbing keeper Dan Thomas from 20 yards.
