The United States Soccer Federation has said it is actively seeking to secure Bob Bradley's future amid suggestions that he is a target for Premier League club Fulham.

Bradley impressed at the World Cup when leading USA to top spot in Group C, although the country's campaign was ended by Ghana in the second round.

It is reported that Bradley is one of the leading contenders to replace Roy Hodgson at Craven Cottage, along with Ajax's Martin Jol and former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.

But Ottmar Hitzfeld has said he wants to remain as Switzerland coach and the USSF has no desire to see Bradley leave his own international post.

"Bob is under contract with US Soccer until the end of the year and discussions are ongoing," a USSF spokesman said.

Former USA goalkeeper Brad Friedel has backed Bradley to be a success should he indeed move to Fulham prior to the start of the new season.

"It would be a great move for Bob to get over here," Friedel told Sky Sports News."I think he did a really good job during the World Cup and also in qualifying.

"We should have qualified - although some of the games can be a little bit tricky - but I think he has done a decent job of finding some younger players."
