Tottenham on verge of £6m capture for Manchester City winger Craig Bellamy
Everton are also interested in the Welshman but are struggling to match Tottenham’s offer. (Daily Mail)Spurs are believed to have put in an offer of £6m for the ex-Liverpool striker, who could be allowed to leave by City in order to free up squad space for new summer signings.
Is Craig Bellamy on his way to Spurs?
Everton are also said to be interested in securing the services of the Wales international, though the Merseyside club are likely to be unable to match Tottenham’s offer financially.
Bellamy’s decision as to whether or not to leave could be made easier by coach Roberto Mancini’s evident desire for a forward-line overhaul this summer. (The Metro)
Harry Redknapp has been chasing the nippy pint sized Welsh international for some time and appears to have more or less completed the deal to bring the 30 year old to White Hart Lane. If they do manage to snare the adaptable attacker for £6m then this would surely be something of a bargain.
For the past couple of seasons the former Liverpool and Newcastle United man has been on top form and has done well when placed out wide where his pace is causing all sorts of problems and clearly he still has an eye for goal and could offer Tottenham another option up front.
